Show time on black screen under lock screen

I can't seem to figure out how to have the time showing when the Black screen is on under lock screen. I have certain conditions that I need to have the time right there all the time but I just can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated.

@Dragonmom68 Have you tried this:

1. Open phone settings
2. Click on Lock screen and AOD
3. Click on Always on Display
4. Make sure that it is enabled.
5. Click on "When to show" and select "Always"
