A Series & Other MobileI have had my a42 5g phone for close to two years. Everything were working perfectly, but lately I cracked the bottom half of my screen and it still didn't have any issues. Although it is cracked, I planned on getting it fix soon to avoid any further damages. Unfortunately, the other day, the phone suddenly had problems. It appears to be touchscreen issue, where I couldn't' type in my PIN, most of the numbers works except for 2-3. Sometimes the screen goes into Accidental Touch Mode. When I finally could enter my pin number, and open a website or two, it would go "haywire" going to other apps/websites that I didn't open up. Outside the cracked screen that may be causing the problem, I did go outside for 20 minutes and the weather was rather cold; I had my phone in my coat but guessed the coldness still affected the phone. To conclude, I have no idea what it could be, the cracked screen finally giving in, combined making contact with cold air. The screen is also cold to the touch, when it is usually warm. There is a System UI symbol on the locked screen with a message to restart the phone to receive notifications. Can someone point out what could be the issues? I am not sure should if I can solve it on my own, get it fixed or buy another phone instead.

A Series & Other MobileWill the bluetooth keyboard also help transfer information from my phone to a computer? I may check it out to see if it could work.
I managed to disabled the PIN to remain unlocked after turning the screen horizontally. Luckily, the sound works, i can get phone calls and make them. The only problem if someone calls or text, i cannot answer it due to the touchscreen issue. I may consider getting it fix but knowing I might have bigger problem than a cracked screen is what I am a bit worry about and what it cost. Thanks for the answer.

A Series & Other MobileGo to Settings > Accessibility.
* Tap Interaction and dexterity.
* Select Answering and ending calls.
* Toggle on Answer automatically.
Method 2: Using Bixby Text Call
* Make sure you have the latest version of the Samsung software installed on your A42.
* Open the Phone app.
* When you receive a call, you should see a new button next to the regular answer button. This is the Bixby Text Call button.
* Tap the Bixby Text Call button to let Bixby answer the call for you.
Additional Tips:
* You can customize the auto-answer delay time in the Accessibility settings.
* Bixby Text Call can also be used to automatically respond to text messages

A Series & Other Mobile@al07 When you cracked the screen you could have done other damage which didn't appear right away. Sometimes a small crack or break in wiring works for a while and slowly gives way to failure.

A Series & Other MobileI was afraid that may be the case as a result of the cracked screen. I may end up taking it to a repair shop to see what they'll say.
