A Series & Other MobileMy device during the 3 weeks I've upgraded to the Samsung A16 doesn't receive iPhone messages, they receive mine & can see mine yet when they reply they can't send them or they for some reason never make it to my device.
At 1 point when a family member was texting me on their iPhone I was able to read & reply then all of a sudden they said they started to receive messages from someone stating & asking them" who is this" so my family member assumed I was joking around but It wasn't me that sent those messages yet they were being replied back to as if it was I that was sending them, but I couldn't see what that mysterious individual was texting yet it came FROM my phone. Basically someone else replying yet I had no knowledge of it.
I'm paying for a service yet I'm not getting what I'm supposed to get. Could it be due to recycled #s?

A Series & Other MobileYou appear to be complaining about two separate issues here: 1) inability to communicate with iPhone users and 2) someone has hijacked your phone or phone number.
1) You must be using Samsung Messages. The version of RCS on Samsung Messages is not 100% compatible with iPhone users. If you want to communicate with iPhone users while using RCS, you will have to switch to Google Messages. The messaging service is a function of your carrier, not Samsung.
2) If your phone has been compromised, you will have to take steps to secure it. If your number has been spoofed, I suggest reporting it to your phone carrier - this is not a Samsung issue. The service you are paying for is through your carrier, not Samsung. You might want to secure your Samsung and Google accounts by logging out any device you see that is not yours and then changing the account password. Acquire a virgin SIM from your carrier, or change your number, also requesting a new SIM. If your carrier is recycling numbers, they would not recycle a number that is currently in use. Again, that is an issue to take up with your carrier.
