Has anyone had an issue with the Samsung Galaxy A13 overheating while charging and melting the charging port?

My son’s phone (only year old phone) overheated while charging.  The charging port was hot to the touch, and some of the plastic on his case and phone has been warped.  The charging port was damaged due to the overheating.

Is this a common issue with this kind of phone?  This is our first Samsung product.
