A Series & Other MobileHello everybody. I'm having a problem with my device a Samsung A51.
For a few months now i've had this problem where videos keep auto-pausing, at first i thought it was an issue with the app (it happened while i was trying to watch netflix) but then i realized it also happened when i opened video files saved on my phone or when i'd open any other streaming app or when i'd try to send voice notes through whatsapp or instagram or if i tried to record a video, it would stop.
can someone help me? why is this happening and what can i do to fix it? i'd rather avoid reset my phone
edit: the problem ISN'T my internet connection as it's very fast. so clearly the problem is the phone.

A Series & Other MobileI can definitely understand how frustrating it is for videos to auto-pause for seemingly no reason on perfectly good apps and video files. I am sorry to hear that, and want to provide you steps to troubleshoot it beyond the internet, which you confirmed is not the root cause.
First thing to try is Safe Mode, since it will let you see if a third-party application may be causing this behavior. The guide for using Safe Mode is here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
Next thing to try is clearing your device's cache partition, which can also help improve behavior by getting rid of junk stored on your phone Next thing to try is clearing your device's cache partition, which can also help improve behavior by getting rid of junk stored on your phone Next thing to try is clearing your device's cache partition, which can also help improve behavior by getting rid of junk stored on your phone (it doesn't affect your actual files and data, just temporary ones). You can do so following these steps:
• Ensure the device is powered off. If the device is unresponsive/frozen, press and hold the Power button for approximately 10 seconds or until the device power cycles.
• Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Home button.
• While continuing to hold the Home and Volume Up buttons, press and hold the Power button until 'RECOVERY BOOTING' appears in the upper left then release all buttons.
• Select wipe cache partition. Utilize the Volume Up/Down buttons to highlight and the Power button to select.
• Select reboot system now. Option is highlighted, utilize the Power button to select.
If the above two do not help, it may be time to try a factory data reset. Please note, you should back up ALL your files and settings prior to attempting this, and the guide even tells you ways to do so before: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
Lastly, if all of those do not resolve it, your device may need to be looked at by a certified technician. You can go to https://samsung.com/us/support/service and find your preferred option(s) there, such as mail-in service or walk-in appointments. You can also do mail-in service by calling 1-800-726-7864, as well as by messaging us with your model and IMEI number. You can send that message to us by either clicking on my profile and clicking Send A Message, or by following this link: https://bit.ly/3hzZfw8
