Hey guys!

I've recently been getting messages on my A15 5g's screen that seem to be like pop-up ads?

The pop up message itself is for 'high quality RCS Chats' but I can't determine if it's a Google ad or something else.

Has anyone else encountered this?

You've got adware. Download Good Lock from the Samsung store and add the nice catch module, then turn on detect commercials. You will be able to determine which app is sending the ads and uninstall it. It is not coming from Google.

Just getting back to you for a little update. Good Lock is not available for download on Samsung Store nor is Fine Lock. I ran the malware detector on settings as well as on my downloaded apps on the Google Play Store and no malware was detected. Thoughts?

Fine lock is available in the Play store, not the Samsung store. Your model requires fine lock. Adware is not necessarily malware, it's annoyance ware. Some of it can be malware, though.

Yes. I was just reading the description though, and it looks like you can't get the modules with it. I seem to remember someone saying that good lock will not run on the A15, which is why you didn't see it in The Samsung store. It's also available in the play store. Maybe it will download from there.

Would the built in Samsung security scan show this sort of adware?

I don't know, I use Malware bytes. I have for many years, and I've never been invaded. They have the free version in the play store and it should be adequate enough to detect whete it's coming from.

Update! It's from google. The 'learn more link' takes me to my Google account settings for rcs messages. Not malware!1724600539977.jpg
