I have the "Do not disturb" setting turned on. I also have "Allow during Do not disturb" set to allow three family members so that I get a notification whenever they call or text me.

However, from time to time and under no pattern that I have yet identified, the family members get dropped from the "Allow during Do not disturb" setting, and when they try to text or call me, I don't see a notification.

Mine are also missing from my A53, and I needed to add them back in.

My friend, who has a Samsung A35, were also missing!

I recommend that everyone check to see if their  (DND) allowed contacts are missing too.  Also, check regularly to see if their  (DND) allowed contacts are there.

Thank you userstpKyqthxG for posting this!

I hope this glitch gets fixed soon!

This bug has been around for awhile now. It's very annoying that they still haven't fixed it.

Following up to my original post, to help others:

  1. To quickly get to the setting, go to Settings > Search > "Calls and messages" > Search icon. This will return Notifications > Calls and message (Do not disturb) as the first result. Tap it to go to the setting. The search string will also be stored in recent searches for quick access.
  2. Turn off any Schedule under the Do not disturb setting. I had a schedule for Sleeping configured and active, but since I turned it off, I have not lost the contacts in the "Allow during Do not Disturb" setting. Day 4 of no loss.

So we have to lose one functionality (schedules) of DND in order to get another function of DND to work. šŸ˜’

I hope that your solution works, and I hope that your solution works for you. Thank you for posting this possible solution.

My solution for myself is to keep my DND schedules, and to set a reoccurring reminder to check if the allowed contacts are still there.
