I would like to be able to have certain apps - mainly gmail and facebook - allowed to show notification badges, but NOT play a sound and show the notifications in the avobe..
Go to Settings then notifications then find the app on the list in which you want to adjust the notifications. Click the app (Facebook for example) then you can select which notifications you want to edit. Once selected it should show Alert and Silent. You can select Silent and still have your notifications show up without a sound. Hope that helps.
