If you didn't know you can not only lock you phone but also your sim? Yes no apps required just go to contacts and navigate to the place where it says lock sim don't do it if you forget the password you will be locked out of that sim card forever even factory dada resetting your phone will not fix it however locking your phone with a pin is safe because you can factory dada reset it and it will unlock not when you lock a sim card

I don't understand how people bother to secure things like SIMs and phones and secure folders and then promptly forget their passwords.  They still make pens and memo pads to write things down on.

Yes, if you forget your SIM PIN, that particular SIM is dead forever, but it is easily replaceable, as only the SIM is encrypted not your whole phone.

Right. šŸ˜‚ I love the people on social media saying, hey, I got a new fb, lost my password to my old one. How do you not know your password

Some people actually write them in a notes app and then either put it in a secure folder or just even on their phone, to which they forget the password and, if course, can't retrieve them. Some people use password managers and then either forget the master password or never bother to learn how to read the passwords when they need it. Automation kills memory. How many phone numbers do you know by heart? But, phone numbers are one thing, passwords another --especially for anything there is no other way to retrieve or reset

Don't care about phone numbers.. I know all my passwords by heart. I don't know how people forget them

I don't know either. I do not generally use the same passwords, but I do do variations on a theme sometimes. All very important ones are distinct and committed to memory. I do not even understand how people forget their PHONE password/PIN--something you have to use at least once every 72 hours, if not every time your screen times out.

They have no security on their devices!

They leave it open to all, then complain they have been hacked!

It boggles my mind how people forget their pins, patterns, and passwords. Do these people never update their software?

I wanted to see what would happen if I typed in the wrong pin to sim and it locked the sim forever for months I tried to fix it but I was silly and didn't try removing the simšŸ¤£
