Lost the options for read receipts since an update

2 updates ago my phone lost its read receipts, how do I get these back?

I hope you're doing well.

Are you using Google Messages as your default messenger app?

In order to enable your read recipts first open the Google Messenger app> now tap on your profile picture in the right corner> next tap on "Messages and settings"> now tap on "RCS chat" at the top> at the top toggle on RCS chats" and also toggle on "send read recipts" and last it "show typing indicators" this will let you know when the recipient is typing if they're also using the Google Messages app with RCS enabled.

Unfortunately that is enabled by your carrier, if you are unabled to find it in your Samsung messages setting, it was probably disabled by your carrier.
