Hello, thanks for reaching out, and I am sorry to hear the Google mic isn't working for detecting songs. We can look into this further for you. First, try clearing your device's cache partition wth these steps:
-hold Volume Up and Power button until the device restarts
-keep holding that past the Samsung logo
-when the recovery menu pops up, us the Volume Up and Down keys to scroll through the options
-find the option for wiping the Cache Partition
-use the Power button to select it, Volume Up/Down to select confirmation
-restart the device once this is finished

If wiping the device cache partition didn't help, it may be a third-party application interfering with device functionality. You can check this with Safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/
If the Google feature works in Safe mode, then uninstall third-party apps until it functions as intended. If the behavior continues in Safe mode, move onto the next troubleshooting step.

The third thing is to try a factory reset. Back up everything you can prior (using this guide: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002780/) then perform the factory reset: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

Lastly, if the troubleshooting is ineffective, submit an error report via Samsung Members app. The steps to do so are right here within Community: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Submit-an-Error-Report/ba-p/3001692

If the microphone isn't working at all, and not just for finding songs or music, and you've tried all the troubleshooting, service and evaluation may be required.

For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung  or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options:
