Try the photos app. They should be there and re-download them back to the gallery. This sounds like a software bug. You might want to file an error report.

Do you have One UI 8? Sometimes UI Updates can cause bugs.

No. Can't see them with the Photos app either. Took photos, videos, and screenshot. Sometimes they were there viewable in gallery (and Photos) Sometimes they weren't. If they weren't visible you couldn't edit them it would say "file not supported" or there's an "i".Then today (well, last night), even some of the ones that were visible and were editable started disappearing. I've now lost almost 3 days of photos. There's info indicating that something is there  - it shows the number of kb or mb, but there's no image. Just an exclamation mark.

I may have stopped the disappearing- pictures from the last hour are still there, but only time will tell.

But what's to say it won't stop disappearing them again?

I wish someone had solved your problem. I have a Note 20 Ultra 5g & about a year ago all of a sudden after I took a pic or video when I went to look at them I could see the pic in my gallery as long as they were in a smaller view size. But if I made them bigger or tried to review pic, I get a gray square with an ! saying error. Google photo showed them as a blank, that is, if they even accepted them. I had to download a camera, which sucks cause my phone has an awesome camera. I did find a way around losing my pics. I realize that if I immediately sent the picture or video to my facebook messenger after taking them, I would still have the pic or video. However, the original photo in my gallery would still disappear. The photos/videos don't disappear immediately after taking them. It takes a few mins before im unable to access the pic/video.
But since I sent myself the picture/video on Messenger I could now go to my Messenger and redownload it to my gallery. Doing it that way I would still have a picture/video. Which is very inconvenient. At times when I don't have access to the internet or data, Is pointless to try to use the camera that came with my phone cause I would lose it unless I took it with a camera I downloaded.

Now that works for a while. However, my phone just updated today. And when I went into my pictures, I noticed that my screen shots are now disappearing. The only difference is where the screenshot should be there's a blank white square. A lot of my pictures have disappeared today. I'm not happy. & that's under stating how I feel right now.

What is going on. This is extremely frustrating. My A54 is being very buggy. There's the problem with photos & videos disappearing. Is it the phone? But @SmileyDragonfly is having the same problem on her Note 20 ultra.

I also am now having problems with Contacts. A couple of weeks ago it suggested I merge duplicate contacts. Then yesterday, I noticed many contacts were missing. I found them in the trash and restored them. However, not all the info is back for all of them. Some have just the name. Furthermore, some of the contacts can't be edited. There is no edit option at the bottom of the contact card. There are 3 dots at the bottom right next to "More," but editing is not among the options; the only choices are: delete, QR code, Block Contact, and add contact to Home screen. There is no "i" anywhere to click on.

If this is a problem with the phone, then I would get a new phone, but it's not clear that is what's going on!
