A Series & Other MobileHello community, can someone give me a bit of advice here? I think i may have my own answer, but i'd like to have some confirmation by an outside observer.

A Series & Other Mobile@Aviationgeek I would reach out to the Chime app developers. But I suspect that the old OS on that device doesn't meet the security requirements for the banking app.

A Series & Other Mobile1. Check for Software Updates:
Sometimes app compatibility issues can be resolved with a system update. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check if there's an update for your device.
2. Check App Requirements:
The newer version of the Chime app may require a higher version of Android than your device supports. The Galaxy A10e is on Android 9 (Pie) by default, which may not support the latest app versions. You can confirm the minimum Android version required on the app's Play Store page.
3. Clear Play Store Cache and Data:
Sometimes the Play Store cache can cause issues. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data. Restart your phone and try installing the app again.
4. Download APK (Not Recommended Unless Necessary):
If the app isnโt available in the Play Store, you can search for an older version of the Chime app APK from a trusted source. However, be cautious about downloading APKs from third-party sites as they can contain malware.
5. Contact Chime Support:
If none of these solutions work, it may be helpful to contact Chime support to ask if there is an issue with the app's compatibility with older devices or operating systems.
Ultimately, if your phone's Android version is too old, you may not be able to run the latest version of the Chime app, and upgrading to a newer device with updated software might be necessary for future app compatibility.

A Series & Other MobileI was having the same issue. Kept having to use another phone just to use chime. But I just figured it out finally after about 2 months struggling. Its available in the Galaxy Store. So simple lol. I was trying all kinds of stuff when it was right there. Just downloaded and it works. Finally.
