Does the A15 have the capability to flip it over for "do not disturb"?

Other phones I've seen turn on the Do Not Disturb feature when you flip them over.  I can't seem to get that to work on my A15.  Is the only way to active Do Not Disturb is to hit the pull down button?

So far I've never heard of that feature

@userKtpWweZmYa You can mute calls and alarms by putting your phone face down or covering it with your hand. You can enable it in phone settings -> Advanced features -> Motions and gestures -> Mute with gestures

It essentially does the same thing as DND.

I have been using both features for quite some time. Love the customization options on Samsung's devices. Thanks for sharing!!

No it's not the same. It only mutes alarms and calls. NOT notifications (which DND does). My Google Pixel does mute notifications when face down. I don't know who Samsung thinks they're helping with this - it's pretty useless.

The reason I want this is because I have a really noisy app that sends notifications constantly. When I'm at work and looking at the desktop version of the app, I don't want the notification sounds. But I don't want to have to constantly remember to turn on/off DND depending on if I'm in a meeting or not. Just want the same functionality that is stock Android that for some reason Samsung decided to mess up.

Do you realize you can just either turn the notifications for that noisy app off, or set it's notification to silent, or set it's notification sound to silent, or just turn the volume of your phone off?  No need to put your whole phone into do not disturb for one app.  You can also just configure work mode, automate it to turn on during your work hours and include do not disturb or just exclude that one app from sending notifications during that time.

I am continually amazed at just how lazy technology has made people that they are now unwilling to do even the simplest, basic things such as pull down a screen to turn on a feature.  In any case, the tech exists to feed that desire in the form of modes and routines to automate certain tasks.

I actually have that feature activated, but the only time I put my phone face down is when I go to sleep, in which case bedtime mode/DND is on anyway.

@realaud Thanks!!  What option do you use to flip it over for Do Not Disturb?  All I could find is a flip over for ignoring a call.  Have a great day.
