Consumer Cellular says the A16 stops with Android14. It won't update. Any ideas?

Did you bring the phone over to CC from a different carrier?

Bought unlocked from ebay

Do you have a computer to attach the phone to to try to force a Smart Switch update? CC is wrong on this, or you happened to reach a customer service rep who is unknowledgeable or too lazy to look it up. It's a phone that was introduced under the 5 update policy, so you should be getting the update. Is your phone unlocked? Did you purchase it through CC or buy it through another carrier and then move to CC?

Tried Smart Switch no luck bought unlocked phone from ebay

Bought used off Ebay was unlocked but don't know previous carrier

Now on Consumer cellular but under update software says Android 14 1UI 6.1 is current

Is there any way to get this phone to update. It shipped with Android 14 and seems stuck there

You don't have a splash screen from the previous carrier? Either the firmware was flashed or it was factory unlocked. If you have a computer, or access to one, you can download Smart Switch for computer and see if there is an update available from Samsung's server.
