Since Tracfone assistance is practically worthless, I hope someone on here could help.

Do I need to have airplane mode on for a Galaxy A25 to make and receive calls via WiFi?  I know that with airplane mode off, I thought I was automatically making calls by WiFi while in my house until I noticed my talk minutes disappearing.  I have WiFi calling turned ON.

No. You do not have to have it on.

You don't have to unless you want to conserve on battery. Also check with your carrier airtime minutes even through wifi calling may charge towards your monthly allowance

That is what led me to inquire.  I just got the A25.  My prior phone was an A03s and I noticed my talk minutes were going down and I only used the phone to call when I was at home.  The A03s was supposed to utilize WiFi calling, at least I thought.

Read my previous post.  Make sure that your WIFI calling settings are set to "wi-fi preferred".

Wi-fi calling should be always on, assuming your carrier supports it. Make sure your settings are for WiFi preferred and you have set up your e911 address in safety and emergency - most carriers require that. If you want to insure WiFi calling at home, you can turn the phone to airplane mode. You can create a routine to put your phone in airplane mode when you are connected to your wifi network. You don't have to be in airplane mode, though. You can check in several ways whether your WiFi calling is active: your status bar will not show an LTE/5G designation, if you pull down the notification shade it will say something like TracFone WiFi calling, or opening the phone app will show the WiFi radio symbol on the connect button. If none of these occur, then you should go into airplane mode.
