Hi team,

After updating my Galaxy A34 5G to One UI 7.0 (Baseband A346EXXSADYG1, July 2025 patch) on 18 July, battery performance has drastically worsened. Charging from 2% now takes nearly 4 hours, and toggling fast charging has no effect.

I tried clearing the cache partition but can’t access Recovery Mode using the steps https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S23/Sharing-the-steps-on-how-to-Clear-System-Cache/m-p/26...

Samsung support advised clearing One UI Home data and other power-saving tips, but nothing has helped so far. This issue is impacting my work.

Is a fix planned in an upcoming patch? Any other way to access recovery or restore battery performance?

Thanks,

starting from one ui 7, you need a pc to enter recovery mode by plugging them with usb-c

also it seems it's hardware related issue, i suggest to service it to nearest samsung service center in your city

i also own A34, same july patch, the charging speed is same like one ui 6.1 was. Also i always charge A34 with in a room with AC to reduce heat when charging.

I can still enter recovery mode on my A54 without plugging into a computer on OneUI7.  I think the change may have come with OneUI8, and pretty sure it applies to tablets.

I've also heard of some phones needing to be plugged in before you can enter recovery, but it seems to be very inconsistent. No rhyme or reason for it, as far as I can tell.

Maybe it's an S series thing?

No idea. Sporadic mention of it on the interwebs and not consistent within a model line or series.

Today, after updating my Samsung Galaxy A34, 5G to One UI 7.0 (Android 15), yesterday and i FULLY REGRET IT!!! my phone’s charging performance has become unusable. Fast/Super Fast Charging is enabled, AS ALWAYS...but the phone now charges extremely slow...(I STARTED IT at 38% and it went to 42% in two hours). I am using the original fast charger Samsung charger and cable, and this issue began immediately after the update. The phone also gets warm during charging but barely gains battery. This is a critical issue, because my phone cannot charge properly and is unreliable for daily use. Please escalate this to the software engineering team and provide a fix or patch as soon as possible! Thank you so much

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be to wait for your phone to charge and take a longer time after an update. I would recommend running diagnostic on your member's app, when you go into the member's app > tap on diagnostics > tap on phone diagnostics and at the end it will ask to test your charging with your original cable.

Have you tried testing charging your phone on another charging block and using a different charging cable?

I would also recommend submitting an error report as this will our team of engineers to get their eyes directly on the symptom you are experiencing. Please use this link for the steps to submit an error report: How to: Send Feedback - Samsung Community - 3001692
