Contacts app out of sorts, trouble with calls, drop-down menu changed, custom settings not staying, etc

I have trouble making calls and people have trouble calling me. My phone numbers are messed up/out of order. Instead my favorites are in the middle of the list. The top of the list are numbers "recently added" some of which are years old. I can no longer access the drop down menu with the airplane mode and flashlight. My "home page/screen" keeps resetting to the default screen instead of the one i set. I can't view my apps except the ones on my "home screen" i already had set. This update is terrible. PLEASE fix it.

- Tap each recently added contact to make them go away.

- Clear device cache. This should be done after every update. Steps follow:

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.
