Concerned about updating my recently purchased A25 5G to Android 15

My A25 5G phone that is just three months old keeps telling me to update to Android 15. I have read about so many problems that can take place with the phone after doing this that I am just avoiding it. One of the reasons I chose a Galaxy phone was the ability to update Android four times - but I don't want to do it if I am going to make my perfectly working phone now to a phone with problems.  What I am looking for here is some feed back from anyone here with this same model phone who has done the update and what happened - and what issues were there after - if any? I read about checking for updates to the update that has fixed the problems - but I have no idea how to find out if the Android 15 update I am updating the phone to has resolved the problems.  How would I know this? Thank you all in advance!

If you clear the phone cache after getting ui7 and android 15 that will help as for changes the battery icon has been changed some icons have been changed also not too much tho the layout may look different but those changes can be changed or adjusted

I have the A25, and I've had no issues with the update.

I have A16 5G and after the updates I been having problems with my text messages my phone says it sent the text but it never arrives to the person so with that said after 5 days of not being able to fix even did a factory reset still not working

I feel like that's an internet problem... try using Google Messenger instead. I use it, and having RCS instead of SMS/MMS is amazing. Faster>reliable>easier (it also shows you if your message was sent to the contact 🙂 )

Messaging, regardless of which app you are using, is a carrier issue, not a phone issue and not a messaging app issue.  You need to either contact your carrier or reset your mobile network, or both.  Contacting your carrier will likely result in a network reset anyway.  Sometimes the carrier needs to reprovision the text stream.  Your carrier is the one who tweaked the update and rolled it out to you.

You are only hearing from the people yelling the loudest. Not everyone is having actual problems. The biggest complainers are complaining about the new look or the AI features. Of the millions of phones that have been updated, problems occur in a very small percentage. The A series phones have less of the advanced features, so the update will be less likely to cause issues. Most issues that come up can be easily solved by checking/asking here.

My A16 is brand new too, and I updated my phone right as it came out... nothing bad will happen. But the quick actions menu and notifacations will be accessed slightly differently (top left swipe down: notifacations. Top right swipe down: quick action menu) also there's more features and ui changes

You can put the  panels back together and rearrange the items in the control panel.
