Hello,
I am new to this forum and the world of Samsung and smart phones. Reluctantly had to give up my trusty flip phone.🙄
I recently purchased a Galaxy A16 5g, and for the most part have been able to figure out most issues I have come across, however this one has me stumped. Hoping someone here can give me some guidance.
As I stated I have an A16 5G, UI version 8.0, Android 16. I have found several help videos and articles, that guide me to the Phone settings > Record calls> where there is supposed to be an option to "Auto record". This option does not appear on my page and I don't know why? Have I maybe set a restriction or permission that is not allowing this to display? When I place or receive a call I am not seeing any record icon either.
I live in Alberta, Canada, and have checked and recording calls is allowed here! It is not something I wish to do all the time, however there are instances when I would like to have a record of a conversation.
Suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks

A cursory search appears to indicate that most Canadian models disable call recording per Samsung and Canadian carriers. Seems to be something to do with legal liability.
If call recording were available to you, it would appear as it does in the attached screenshot.
