Compatible video player app?

Hello folks, I have a question. 

Since Samsung Video Player is not compatible with my current phone (Galaxy A35 5G), does anyone know if there's another app that can play videos just as well?

@TrooperTru When in the Gallery, after you click on a video, click on 3 dot menu in upper right. Do you not see "Open in Video player"?

No. That option is not available in my Gallery.

I use VLC. It works with just about everything.
