A42 5G USBC-USBC Charging not detected after initial Software Update!

This is my 2nd Brand-New Factory Unlocked phone. 1st one I allowed the System Update immediately before trying the charge. Then it would only recognize USBA-USBC Cable. This time- I tried the USBC to USBC before I booted it up. It recognized it and charged at the "Fast" but not "Super-Fasr" rate. The phone then tried to do the System Update. I waited until overnight. Just now. I tried the very same Cable and it doesn't work. The ONLY explanation is the System update...Update... of my other Android phones work with this USBC-USBC Cable- even my 2 year old Moto G Power and Galaxy S9 - and charge at their "max" levels. That's how it should be!! Samsung told me to exchange the 1st phone. Seems like they're clueless about this issue. Any help would be appreciated
