Can't put favorites contacts in order

 I've tried to put my favorites in alphabetical order on my phone, but I can't. I've tried to do settings, but there's none to do this.

 Also for some reason this keyboard double spaces without my doing it. I can't afford a better phone. This is Galaxy a16

Okay. Sorry about that. I was around when they used rotary phones. This is still new to me

I was around then too but do have some tech knowledge. Did anything work? I remember using party lines.

I did find this.
Unfortunately, Samsung doesn’t give an automatic sort option for the Favorites list in Contacts/Phone. The Favorites section is meant to be a “speed dial” area, so it only shows contacts in the order you added them.

I mean I remember party lines. Nothing is working on this phone. I was going to go back to the Samsung contacts app, but I can't find it. I'm thinking about turning this phone off before I get mad and throw it against the wall. I can't find anything

@DeDe6 Open that menu and select "View by storage location". Then select "All contacts".

Thats exactly the options I get when I try to reorder the favorie contacts. The optioin for hold,Drag to new place is gone, no longer showing when hitting the three dots at the top right of the screen. did you get an answer that works?
