Apps Crashing due to Android system webview

Does anybody know why android system webview is causing app crashes?

P.s I already uninstalled the updates I'm just curious.

it's because of the latest security patch.

are you talking about the system update that also updated camera features too? because I updated android system webview today prior to the security update even becoming available to me.

After updating ASW, my phone pretty much went haywire. I then did a reboot and only THEN I was notified about the security update; for which I was unable to install because the phone was in complete chaos.

After uninstalling ASW, I able to update the security patch.

so in my case, the security patch could not have been the cause....

hope that makes sense!

Yes, a few of my apps started crashing after today's security update.

I just uninstalled it and all apps started to work again!

how did you Uninstall it?

I opened play store and typed android system webview and I found the one that installed on my phone and removed it.
