Android 15 status bar icons too small

My A54 just installed Android 15. The icons on status bar (along the top) are now so small that I often don't notice them unless I'm wearing close reading glasses. There seems to be no option to change their size.

I tried screen zoom, no such luck. With screen zoom maxed out.

I noticed a slight difference in size when I zoomed, very slight. The difference here is that the icons used to sit nakedly on the status bar. Now, you can't see it, but they sit inside an invisible bubble. Which probably accounts for the indicator limit.

I am on Ui8, no change!

I think the reason they are not listening to change requests is that they are too far into the programming to have to tear it down and start over. If OneUI 8 wasn't right on the heels of OneUI 7, they may have had more time and desire to accommodate the complaints. Perhaps by the time they do OneUI8.1 or OneUI 9, they'll get it together and make some changes.

Good Labs could very well be working on it. You know programming is more complex than it seems. According to most people here, programming is a snap and all the developers have to do is type some lines of code and it's all better.

After seeing all the complaints about the, supposedly, smaller status bar icons, I pulled out my S10 Lite running Android 13 to compare the status bar icons with my A54 running Android15/OneUI 7.0.  Comparing them side by side, I do not see a difference in size. I believe they may look smaller due to the optical illusion of a combination of less icons on the bar and the shape of the battery icon.  The oval shape is actually larger than the bar shape, the big difference is a) the contrast being lousy and b) the percentage being *inside* the icon rather than beside it.  I have really bad presbyopia and a slight astigmatism, but I don't have any issue see and identifying the status bar icons.
