A Series & Other MobileI am using an A53 on T-Mobile and everything was working OK until the day before yesterday when the Android 16 / One UI 8 update was applied, now my phone is saying the SIM card is no longer recognized. I went into the carrier local office and they swapped out the SIM with a new one, same issue. They then took that SIM into an different phone and it worked, this is clearly an issue introduced with the update. Going through the message boards it is easy to find other instances of the same issue occurring on other Samsung phones.
While not a brick, the phone is useless right now, is there anything that I can do to get this phone working again?

A Series & Other MobileI am one of the fortunate ones. Model SM-A536W. Version A536WVLUGGYJ1. After the update my SIM still works although signal is weaker. However, GPS is non-existent. Bluetooth unstable. Battery drains much faster now. Wifi seems okay. Data not sure as don't use much. Does this all point to a "radio" mess-up in the update? From what I have been reading around the internet, appears to be a wide-spread issue. If an update is coming, hope it comes soon.
On another note,,, has anyone noticed that new (as opposed to reconditioned) A53s for sale at major seller websites are non-existent? How about the Samsung store? Can't seem to buy a replacement.

A Series & Other MobileStill no fix. There was a SW update on Nov 28 which did not fix the issue, still have a dead phone on my hands. It is really disappointing that Samsung seems to have ignored the issue, I expected a lot more out of them. Running a SM-A536U1/DS, One UI 8.0.
