A32 transferring data from non-working device?

My 1st A32 was ran over and crushed. Yesterday I replaced it with a new A32. The guy said since my phone wouldn't power on he couldn't transfer everything over to my new phone. Is that true?

He is correct. Try to backup ur data either in google drive or cloud once in a while so if this happened again you can transfer all the stuff.

There might be some ways to connect the phone using a cable to a computer to get the data but im no expert. Maybe youtube it
