Fold & Flip Phones
I’m reaching out with growing frustration regarding my Galaxy Z Fold 5. For the past month, the device has been repeatedly freezing and restarting. During these episodes, a loud, high-pitched sound sometimes occurs, followed by the screen going black and the phone either restarting on its own or requiring a manual power-on.
These issues began immediately after a recent software update. I visited a certified Samsung repair center today, and after a full diagnostic, they confirmed there are no hardware faults. Their assessment points to a software or firmware bug.
I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for years, and I’ve already tried every recommended solution: clearing the cache, performing a factory reset, and ensuring third-party apps aren’t the cause. I’ve also posted on the support forums, but the problem persists. At this point, I can’t reliably take calls—many end abruptly due to the freezing and rebooting.
Please advise on the next steps to resolve this issue. I’m hoping for a prompt and effective solution, as this is severely impacting my ability to use the device.
