The microwave was not even 2 weeks old and it stopped working. It throws a C-d1 code. When doing my research online and through the Samsung website, the code C-d1 indicates that there is a door lock malfunction or a faulty door lock assembly. It can also mean that the microwave has a misaligned door, a faulty door switch, or a bad control board. I followed a few troubleshooting recommendations. This is what I tried:
  1. Tried to power cycle the microwave by unplugging it for 3-5 minutes to reset the system (I tried this twice)
  2. Cleaned out the lock mechanism, I inspected the lock to make sure it wasn't dirty or that it didn't have debris in the way
  3. Held down the control lock button for about 5 seconds to disable the lock
After all of the troubleshooting and resetting the system, the microwave continued to throw the C-d1 code.
