Galaxy S23S23 ultra- at&t
Ever since the One UI 7 update was pushed through back in April, I have been having intermittent issues with my cellular network and data. It will be fine one moment and then data will stop working, and sometimes it will drop from 5g+ to 5g or 5ge. It will be like that for a few minutes, then come back to normal. Or it will lose data completely and say emergency calls only, then come back to normal after a few minutes. It's even dropped signal completely and then come back just the same. At first I thought it was towers down, but it's happening randomly all across Houston, TX. There have even been moments where I look down and it says it's on T-Mobile or Verizon. I have AT&T. I've never had issues before the update and now I'm at a loss... I've reset the network settings, reinstalled the esim twice, cleared the cache twice. Yesterday I switched to a physical Sim card and reset all the settings and cache. When that didn't work, I did a full factory reset. And that didn't work either. I've tried everything that's been suggested and it's still an issue. My phone only works about 60% of the time. To be clear, this was never an issue before the One UI 7 update.
I've found a ton of other examples from other people on this forum with the same issue as well as a ton on reddit.
I went to the Samsung store yesterday and they told me they had no idea what I'm talking about and maybe I should replace the network hardware in the phone or the main board... at my own expense.
I'm at a loss now. I'm not paying for Samsung's mistake. This needs a patch pronto.
Update - Samsung is now claiming it's either an AT&T issue or a hardware issue and I can have it repaired on my own dime. First, I've already eliminated AT&T as the issue. Second, As someone in the post the Samsung mod linked to below, this is similar to what Apple got sued for.
I'm not going to pay Samsung to fix my phone after their bad update broke it. Take some responsibility Samsung.
