Fold & Flip Phones

Looking for a better understanding of pain I am experiencing with my ZFold 5. I normally carry it in my front right pocket, screen facing inward to protect the glass from inadvertent bumps. It is in a Samsung case with a screen protector. My slacks, jeans, pants are not tight.

One day recently I realized I had been experiencing a burning/numbness/tingling  sensation in my thigh. It would seem to go away when I left my phone out of my pocket. I checked and found a rash and (seemingly) hair loss in the area. The phone was not abnormally hot, although it seems to get hotter lately when charging.

Many people have reported experiencing this anomaly with other Samsung cellphones as well as Google Pixel phones. Some have suggested its meralgia paresthetica, or lateral femoral cutaneous nerve entrapment. It does seem to effect that nerve, but I do not wear tight clothing, and after weeks and weeks of PT to "floss" the nerve, there has been little change as long as I carry my phone in that pocket. I have come to believe nerve entrapment is not the cause.

Has anyone else experienced this burning sensation? I am looking to understand if there is a link between the phone characteristics, ie heat, radiation, etc and the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve close to the skin on your thigh. Ideas welcomed.
