I installed the small piece of plastic that indicates the max level of detergent.

I pour the detergent but it flows on down and out of the container. It does not stay there. The level of detergent rises to the max line then immediately comes down when I stop pouring.

Maybe this is normal and I don't understand. But, it seems very wrong.

This is a new machine. Delivered today. First time trying a wash after performing the leak check and the calibration.

I would recommend ensuring the main- wash compartment is set for liquid detergent usage and not powder, which it sounds like could be the case from the description provided. What color is the "liquid detergent container"?

The drawer is white. The drawer has 3 compartments. There is a blue/purple insert in each compartment. The first (leftmost) compartment is for detergent. It's insert is not a container - it does not have 4 walls to contain. It can only act as a level indicator. As it is, only the detergent section of the drawer has 3 walls so close but still it will let the detergent flow out to the back. I wish I could include a photo. The drawing in the manual gives the impression the blue insert into the detergent section can retain detergent - like a cup.

However, if after trying the steps in this link, the detergent is still immediately dispensing, the washer will require service. There’s a couple options here we can take based on your warranty status. 

 

If you’re in the one-year manufacturer’s warranty, please gather together the full model and serial number of your unit, and have ready your name, street address, 2 phone numbers (Best contact, alternative number), email, and place of purchase. Provide this information to an agent, in one of the following options below:
