I just bought these and found that using them is very different in deciding on settings to use for washing and drying clothes from older washers and dryers. When trying for the first time, my washer ran for 2 hours and the dryer ran for only15 minutes from what's in by default. There is no real guide that I have found that translates the old technology to the new settings that old style machines used to run about 1/2 hour for the washer and 1/2 hour for the dryer. What a shame. I'll have to work to figure that out.
Also, they have capability to run on the Smart Things app, but no real guide at all on how to use that app with the washer and dryer, or how to enable them. That would be very useful to buyers since it is mentioned in capabilities in sales at store web sites.
The appliances work well based on what you tell them to do, if or when you figure that out. And Smart Things will, if properly enabled, tell your phone when the cycles are complete. You just have to figure those things out and how to configure them to do that.
I rate my purchases as 9 out of 10, when they could easily be a 10 if Samsung finished the job with full or better instructions. A new publication or two and maybe some support videos to demonstrate how would be a great help toward those goals.
