So apparently my $2,000+ “AI” washer-dryer can: - Detect the weight of my laundry - Adjust cycles automatically - Connect to Wi-Fi and talk to my phone
…but it *can’t*: - Let me lower spin speed on dryer cycles (even though delicate proves it’s possible) - Use the detergent dispenser on delicate (guess my “auto” dispenser is only auto sometimes?) - Offer a basic de-wrinkle steam cycle with the hardware it already has - Get customer support that knows it has a touchscreen, not dials and knobs from 1995
Feels less like AI and more like Artificially Imposed limitations. Can we get a firmware update before my laundry gets smarter than my washer?
I came here to find out if there is a way to slow the spin cycle, jeans are coming out horribly wrinkly even with small loads and I would like to see if a slower spin cycle would help but I can’t find away to do that and still use soap.
