Reattaching the Feet to Your Samsung Steam Dryer (Model DV419AEW/XAA)
After removing the pedestal from your Samsung steam dryer, reattaching the original feet is a straightforward process that will ensure your appliance is stable and level. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get your dryer back on its own four feet.
Materials You May Need:
* The original leveling feet for your dryer
* A wrench or pliers
* A level
* A towel or blanket
Step 1: Prepare the Dryer
For your safety and to make the process easier, unplug the dryer from the power outlet. It's also recommended to disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the appliance. Carefully tilt the dryer onto its back on a soft, protected surface like a towel or blanket to prevent any scratches or damage to the unit or your floor.
Step 2: Locate the Foot Inserts
With the dryer on its back, you will see four threaded holes at the corners of the base. These are the inserts where the leveling feet will be in. If there are any plastic caps or plugs from the pedestal installation, remove them.
Step 3: Screw in the Leveling Feet
Take each of the four leveling feet and begin screwing them into the threaded holes by hand. The feet should thread in smoothly. If you encounter resistance, double-check that you are not cross-threading the foot. Screw each foot in until it is snug against the base of the dryer.
Step 4: Initial Height Adjustment
Before setting the dryer upright, it's a good idea to make sure all the feet are at a relatively even height. You can do this by eye, ensuring that a similar amount of the threaded portion is visible on each foot. This will make the final leveling process easier.
Step 5: Position and Level the Dryer
Carefully lift the dryer back into its upright position. Move it close to its final location, leaving enough space to work behind it. Place a level on top of the dryer.
* Front to Back: Check if the dryer is level from front to back. If it is not, use a wrench or pliers to adjust the front feet. Turn the feet clockwise to lower the corner and counter-clockwise to raise it.
* Side to Side: Next, check if the dryer is level from side to side. Adjust the appropriate front and back feet on one side until the dryer is level.
Continue to make small adjustments to the feet until the dryer is level in both directions. A level dryer will operate more quietly and efficiently.
Step 6: Final Checks
Once the dryer is level, gently try to rock it from the corners. It should be stable and not wobble. If there is any movement, recheck the leveling and adjust the feet as needed.
After you are satisfied that the dryer is stable and level, you can reconnect the vent hose and plug the power cord back into the outlet.

Washers and DryersI appreciate your detailed reply. Step 2 identifies my issue. There is a hole in each corner of the dryer; however, unfortunately nothing to screw the feet into. I wondered if removing the pedestal's bottom cover and installing it on the dryer would work, since the bottom cover has threaded holes at each of the corners. Wanted to check with someone before moving the dryer.
