Washers and DryersHello everyone,
My dryer is once again displaying the HC error code. This first happened about a month ago. At that time, my son and I inspected the exhaust vent and hose. The hose is short and easy to access, and the vent simply goes through the wall to the outside of the house.
Since we didn’t find any blockages, I purchased a cleaning kit designed to clear lint from the exhaust area. It attaches to a vacuum and includes several brushes, one of which is about 18 inches long. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to remove any lint, so I assumed the issue was with the high-temperature sensor and replaced it.
The dryer worked fine for exactly one month, but now the HC code has returned. I’m starting to think there may be a clog in one of the bends underneath the dryer.
Before I call a technician, I’d appreciate any advice on how to remove the dryer panels so I can properly clean the entire lint path to the exhaust. I suspect the brush I used wasn’t long enough to reach everything.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
