I have a 7.4 cu. ft. Smart Electric Dryer with Steam Sanitize+. When I run it, it leaks water underneath and it fills up the dryer vent hose. I don't even use the steam sanitize setting at all. Can someone tell me what could be causing it and how to get this dryer apart? I figure it might be something that's clogged inside but I can't even find directions on how to get the back off to get to the inside.

Hello Gewel1

Thank you for reaching out regarding the dryer leaking. We recommend if your dryer was recently installed, for you to notify the installer that the dryer is leaking. You can review our troubleshooting article https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109103/ for further assistance. As previously mentioned by @Dan2023, if you are unable to identify where the leaking is coming from, i.e. the water hose; the next suggestion is to have the dryer serviced.

You can set up a service repair request directly using the service link- https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/. You can also Private Message any moderator by selecting and clicking on the chat option with your full model and serial number to proceed as well.

Since you're not using the steam feature, turn off the cold water hose to the dryer.

When they installed it they didn't hook up any hoses, just the one leading to the vent like normal

What do I do if no cold water hose was ever hooked up

I'm at a loss. How on earth is your dryer leaking then? Where is the water coming from? Clothes don't come out of a washer dripping wet. Have the dryer serviced.

It's the wet clothes you have standing water in the drum let it open and dry.
And if it is still leaking water you probably need to get a new dryer

No water in the drum at all. Even the lint in the dryer is dry. The water is in the hose that connects to the back of the dryer and goes to the wall that vents to the outside of my apartment building
