Dried 2 loads of the laundry. On the second load, the dryer began squeaking like there is a coin inside, but couldn’t locate it. The dryer will still make the same noise when it runs empty. This is a Samsung model DVEG50R5400. No information codes showing on dryer.
A squeaking noise usually points to worn drum rollers, idler pulley, or a belt issue. Since it happens even when empty, it’s likely mechanical. Best to stop using it and have service check before it gets worse.
My washer did the same thing. Finally, I had a tech come out and it was the screw that held the platform in place. He replaced it and the noise was gone. He had a heck of a time figuring it out. I hope this helps
