Dryer intermittent power issue

Our Samsung dryer is stopping for a few seconds is this normal?

I'm not sure why it would stop. I don't recall ever seeing a dryer stop after pressing the start button. Could you provide the model number of the dryer?

It is one of those pet washer and dryer sets but I think we may have figured it out. It is a steam dryer and we don't have it hooked up to a water source. I think we just need to avoid the steam cycles. Does that sound like it could be the issue?

It is possible that the stopping is related to the steam function; however, I am unable to confirm this, as I have no experience with steam dryers.

Thanks. We are going to test to see if the cycles that are not steam cycles does the same thing but I don't remember the timed option doing it.

Yeah, I have a feeling it's stopping to inject steam, which it can't do until it's hooked up to a water source.

I currently have the new model. Samsung or a sharing dryer. I've always used they're washer and dryers. I do know one that I had in the past. had hey, cool down on it? You can download SmartThings if you do not already have it. And some models, you can update them and even run diagnostics from your phone.. hope this helps

Thanks - I did download the app but there are not really any error messages. I also just realized that there is a more comprehensive user guide online that has more in it than the abbreviated one we got with both machines. Downloaded it and will be looking for anything there.

Experiencing a similar issue. But not using any steam related dry settings. Have only ran pet care dry, bedding and delicates
