dear Samsung, I purchased a front load washer dryer three years and two weeks ago. The drum broke in my washing machine. Is there any recourse as my warranty had expired last year to get any type of refund towards my new washing machine. I feel as though these washers should last a lot longer when you’re paying $1000 for them thank you

Washers and DryersWhy do you feel the warranty should be extended? If a *manufacturing* defect was going to manifest itself, it would usually do so in the first year - more than likely within the first 6 months. After that no one knows how your machine was used or abused (not accusing you of abusing it), and any malfunction would be from usage. Have you actually had it evaluated to see if it would be more cost effective to have it repaired rather than buy a new one? I have always been of the opinion (although I have no real proof) that front loaders do not last as long in use as top loaders. It just seems that the three top loaders my family and I have had over my considerable lifetime always outlasted friends' front loaders.

Washers and DryersThree years and 4 months and I now have the same problem. This isn’t an isolated issue from what I’ve been reading and from what the local tech I spoke to on the phone said. I’m chucking the washer, selling the dryer to recoup some of the cost and buying LG. We picked all Samsung bespoke products for our kitchen recently and just scrapped that idea after reading the reviews. Their customer service is substandard as well as I learned with an issue with a brand new Bespoke fridge. LG provides a limited warranty on their appliances. It's one year full (2 years in the Studio line) , three years on the drum, and ten years on the motor. I’m done with Samsung. It’s a disposable brand at this point.
