Washers and DryersI called to report a 3C2 code on my washer WV60M9900AW/A5 . I was told I have to use authorized service company, tech was great. Got the same code as me and advised 900 to 1700 to repair and charged 129 diagnostic to bring up the code I supplied already. This less then 6 year washer is toast now going to a landfill with all the others I see with the same problem. The unit cost less than 900. Need reimbursement from samsung for diagnosing what I told them already.

Washers and DryersReally? All repair companies, unless they state otherwise, charge a service call/diagnostic fee. And any competent technician will have to verify and replicate the issue. Most apply the fee to the cost of repair and it must be paid if you decline the repair. If the machine was under warranty, the fee would have been covered if the repair was covered. Do you think a technician's time is worth nothing? A company's time to send the technician out when they could be performing a revenue job is worth nothing? Six years is a decent life for a washer. Expecting Samsung to reimburse you for this fee, for an out of warranty product no less, is the height of ridiculousness.
