The Samsung Internet app needs to be updated to comply with the latest Android standards. It would be greatly appreciated. I am using Samsung A7 Lite with Android 14 OneUI 6.1.

What makes you think Samsung Internet isn't updated? Which "latest Android standards" are you referring to?

I think the issue may be that you are using an old OS which is no longer being updated.

Samsung is actively updating Samsung Internet. In fact, they have overhauled the app for UI8.5.

If you are app is not updating, it is likely due to the fact that your device stopped receiving major software updates.

If having the latest and greatest versions of apps which adhere to "the latest Android standards" is of concern to you, you may consider upgrading your device in the near future.

Hey, do you think Samsung internet browser will ever be as fast as chrome browser with opening web pages? I have S22 ultra(I know it's 4yrs old) and when I use chrome browser, it's so much quicker to open web pages compared to Samsung internet browser. I want to embrace Samsung internet browser but the speed is killing me. Especially when I need to log-in using the biometric reader to get into accounts that need a password. It takes noticeably longer with Samsung internet browser to sign-in with accounts versus chrome browser. I hope in UI8.5, Samsung addresses the speed with the browser overall.
Also, lately the ads using Samsung internet browser are becoming just as bad as Chrome browser. I'm using Ad blockers and I'm still seeing ads using Samsung internet browser.
Samsung needs to get it's ISH together!

I haven't noticed a substantial difference in speed. Samsung Internet is a Chromium based web browser. Ad blocking DNS is the best way I've found to block ads device wide.

Not an app.
