I installed the one UI 5.1.1 August update today and the Smart View developer options have been removed. I am no longer able to use the S6 Lite as a second screen for my windows laptop. This is EXTREMELY inconvenient. Not sure why that feature would be removed. Can that feature be accessed a different way now?
Hey, im using this app here to do the job, it works both: through a USB cable or Wi-Fi, the performance is incredible...hope it helps everybody in need for this feature. You have to download the app on the tablet device and a driver in the windows machine, you can get both on the link https://superdisplay.app/
You have to download SystemUI Tuner from the play store, go to About this tablet then Software information and touch the build number several times until the developer options open, then in developer options activate USB debugging, then download https: //dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip and extract the file. Now you have to enter the command prompt on the computer and navigate to the extraction path with the cd command. In my case it is to put cd C:\Users\username\Downloads\platform-tools, obviously put change username to yours, then enter the command .\adb shell pm grant com.zacharee1.systemuituner android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS in the command prompt and that would be it ready the tablet to be able to use SystemUI Tuner, now all that remains is to enter SystemUI Tuner and look for the system option, within this look for the lock screen option and change one of the shortcuts, be it the left or right one, choose one and search for Smart view and within this select the one that says com.samsung.android.smartmirroring/.settings.DeveloperOptionActivity, then you just have to lock the screen and touch the shortcut that will take you to the options from smart view developer, I translated this with google in case there are errors
