My Galaxy Tab A

This is the info from my Tab A. Yes it is older but running poorly and looks like there are no new updates. In fact, when I tried to update, it said the latest update is already installed...it was in 2018!. Can I do anything to fix this tablet or is it obsolete? Will uninstalling apps then resetting to factory help???

I'm sorry to say, but the Tab A is quite outdated now. I don't think it will even download new apps, as the OS is so old and no longer supported. I would recommend looking into a newer model, such as the A9+, S10FE, or S10 Lite. These would all be a significant upgrade from your current A model.

Thank you for answering my question. Was hoping for a different one but at least my thoughts were confirmed. Based on what I paid for this one many years ago, I can't imagine What a new one will cost but sale days are upcoming so...

I too have a Tab A and it's honestly been the absolute best Galaxy device in my arsenal.....and believe me there have been MANY! That being said I've had to install my cellular SIM card and use it as a backup cell-phone on a few occasions, last week October 2025 being the latest, and I'm very disappointed to find that it's almost completely useless. I expected to download an update and possibly ust have to deal with some slow web related quirks but even that was wishful thinking. At the price I paid for this Tablet new I expected better from Samsung. If you look at the model trends and release frequency, it seems as though my many years of brand loyalty were a poor investment. Without a current update they've also tied our hands behind our backs in terms of possible trade-in value for one of the models mentioned below........which I can only assume will also eventually be dealt a similar fate.

I have the same problem..mine is a 2017 build..Can't afford a new tablet..so I guess, That's it 😪😪

@Iamguesswho  The models I mentioned are pretty cheap and work great 

The A9+ is only 219.99 -- I used the A9+ for awhile with no issues and just upgraded to the S10 FE

S10 Lite is only 349.99

S10 FE is 499.00 -- So far the FE has been amazing no issues at all.
