"Call & text on other devices currently does not work with Verizon and AT&T phones" is stated on the Samsung website.
Does anyone know why you can't use these networks?
Can you use other it on other carriers that broadcast on Verizon or AT&T's network towers?
Can you use an LTE watch to make calls and send messages?

Are you using a U or U1 variant for your phone?

It was a pre-order from Samsung Direct on a Burgandy Galaxy Z Fold4 unlocked. I guess that's a U1

A U1 variant shouldn't have any problems. Do you have the Call & Text on Other Devices option in Connected Devices?Screenshot_20230629_203804_Settings_1000044608_1688096285.png

Yes it does! Kind of strange that my watch doesn't show up as a device since I can make calls on it.Screenshot_20230629_222438_Call & text on other devices.jpg

Verizon and AT&T offer their own products to accomplish that and as such disable that feature in their firmware.  You can use Verizon's Message+ (free) to call and text from your tablet.   I have no experience with AT&T.

Yes, an LTE watch can call and text.

Thanks @bill-e
I'm doing all of the research before the unpacked event the end of July. I'm interested in getting one of the S9 ultra tablets And was trying to decide what I should get.
I was using Verizon but I switched to Spectrum for half the price but they still use the Verizon cell towers. It's cool that the tablet can get calls and text through your LTE watch.
Maybe I'll upgrade my Watch5 Pro for a new LTE watch 6 with a rotating bezzle.

@Rayzer Actually I misunderstood the LTE watch portion of the post.  Since I'm all Verizon I have never tried the LTE watch with  Call and Text.  Because I use Message+ on my Tab S8U I don't have to worry about connecting the watch or phone to the Tablet nor do those other devices actually need to be turned on.  Once the Message+ app is registered with your phone number it is all WiFi and works no matter what the status of the other devices.  Although the Verizon instructions claim that Message+ will work with any carrier, I have seen reports here that it doesn't work in that manner so don't bet the farm on it.

Thanks for the clarification. From the postings here I understand that I can take the SIM card out of my phone and put it into the S9U. If available I'll try to get one with so I don't have to use my phone as a Hotspot.

If history repeats itself, only the Plus will be LTE in the US.
