I contacted Samsung support about my Note 10 display timing out incorrectly. I have "Always On" selected with no power saving mode on yet the screen times out after 10 minutes. I was advised that is no longer an option and I should report it to Samsung Members. I feel like I am being forced to upgrade. Any thoughts or suggestions? It's such a basic function I wonder why they would change it.
You are not being forced to upgrade. You were told always on is no longer an option. If anything, that move by Samsung is saving both the life of your battery and the life of your screen. Is it really so hard to tap a button or double tap a screen to turn it back on? If you had it always on, you probably have no security, so you wouldn't even have to enter a password.
Are you talking about the always on display, or are you referring to leaving the screen on entirely? Because no samsung phone has the option to stay on permanently outside of a developer mode toggle, because leaving your phone on all the time is a great way to get permanent burn in. Upgrading your phone won't give you this option back.
And why do you need it to be on for that amount of time in the first place. That's crazy and it's not good for the phone. You keep doing that you may be "forced to upgrade" because you ruined the phone running it like that. Wow. Smh š¤¦ā:male_sign:. I don't get the logic of why some people do stuff like this. You say you don't have the money to upgrade but you are doing things that will make your phone mess up and not hold a charge and mess up the screen and possibly if it's getting hot it could mess up the inside parts of your phone. You are making it where you are "forced to upgrade" by your own actions
