Hi, a hospital we are working with bought 6 SM-X205 tablets, to use for gathering data from an in house developed heart rate monitor using ble. On larger file transfers over ble, we started getting checksum errors, and discovered what seems to be random bit corruptions.

We recreated the error by setting up a simple notification characteristic on a zephyr device, that just write an incrementing 32 bit integer, and an android app that listens to this characteristic and verifies that each int32 received is exactly previous+1.

Every time, errors will eventually happen, perhaps at the rate of 1 byte per 100 000 transferred.

I have been working with our embedded dev and we have been sniffing ble packets on the air and enabled HCI snoop log on the device. packets seemed fine on the air, but same package from the HCI log was corrupted(used googles python script to extract wireshark log).

We tried changing connection intervals and MTU, but same results.

We are also using a lot of other devices, from Samsung and others, without seeing this problem...

To clarify, when increasing the mtu, the error occurs more rarely, the 1/100K is with mtu 20. Using mtu of 250 we can transfer several megabytes before the error occurs...

You probably won't get an answer from the user support forum but perhaps @Samsung_Moderator can point you in the right direction for a technical contact.
