I got this message

Verizon Msg: Samsung Messages will no longer support RCS after 1.6.2025. Switch to Google Messages to maintain the more robust messaging you're used to."  and was wondering what it means?

That's hard to believe, considering Apple was purposefully downgrading quality.

I have no reason to lie about it. If I had been having problems, I'd be just as frustrated as everyone else. To my knowledge and belief, no one has ever missed a text from, nor I from them. No matter which brand phone I had over the years (and I used several), I have never used anything other than Google messages. Tried Samsung for a bit but it was so awful, I switched back and only ever use it to help someone troubleshoot; but I would still use it if that was my only choice due to new standards in messaging.

He is talking about videos and pictures being postage stamps... just plain awful.

Oh, sorry didn't see that. I don't send pictures and videos via text. I either use email or FB messenger, as do others with me. But we are also not big on sending videos or photos at all.

That's a weird perception given that the RCS was viable on Android before Apple ever got onboard with it.

That's what I mean. We personally didn't have issues until it was time to send something to Apple. Which in turn, they were downgrading quality of pictures and videos.

It's the new generation of texting. Do you want to be using outdated technology?

You can still use Samsung Messages. It will only be SMS/MMS To tell if you are using RCS or basic texts, in the message box that you type in it would like like the picture I have attached. Basic text it will say text!1733374952298.jpg
