The Blue and White calling app requires me to unlock phone with pin code before answering a call?

Just like the newer version of messaging, it has a more simplified look to it compared to the original android messages app. But, unfortunately, I can't use the new phone version they made. The blue and white one, it is frustrating. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but I can't answer a call with it unless I open my phone with the pin code. I had to swap back to the older version so I can answer phones without having to speed unlock my phone to do it.

The blue & white phone app is from Google. The other (green) one is from Samsung. Are you saying you need to enter your PIN when you receive a call?

Yes, it will not let me view the call unless I open my phone.

Those are both phone apps, also called dialers. Samsung's is green. Google's is blue.

Don't know why that would be happening. Do you have the Google dialer set as default under settings > apps?

I did have it as default but I swapped them out because of the frustration.

Go into settings > apps. Clear cache & data for Phone by Google. Then set it as default. Make a test call from another phone and see what happens.
