So for months now I have been using the Google Message app to send texts. I upgraded as per the instructions in Samsung Message. I am perfectly happy using Google Message, but I noticed it is duplicating all the messages I send in Google Message in Samsung Message. How do I stop that and delete all the conversations in there. It moved the majority of my messages over when I updated. But there is no reason for the duplications.
It's not a duplication, it's a sync. All messaging apps are just a delivery app for messages, all your messages would appear in all apps if you had several on your device. Only one app can be active at a time. The messages do not take up any extra space, since they are not duplicates. This makes it easy to choose other messaging apps, as messages don't "transfer" as much as they are already there. If you no longer intend to use Samsung Messages, and this annoys you, you should now be able to uninstall it.
If you did the transfer from samsung messages think they had button with upgrade than it shouldn't be going to samsung messages as Google message should now be the default check your account sync
